The framework, from the child outward
Children are at the centre, spending their day in guided play. Each layer around them supports that play, and the outer layer is where your organization comes in. Choose a layer to see what it means.

What your organization gets
A named benefit
A concrete work-life balance offer you can use in job postings, retention conversations, and HR reporting.
No childcare contracts
Staff contract directly with independent operators. Your organization refers and nothing more.
Documentation
Written information on the framework's psychological safety approach for your HR and occupational health and safety files.
Wellness integration
An optional NeuroResilience wellness hub at your location, extending the same approach to your adult workforce.
Questions employers ask
Is my organization liable for the childcare?
Your organization doesn't provide the care or hold the childcare agreement; staff contract directly with an independent operator. We recommend having your own legal advisor review any referral arrangement before you launch the benefit.
Are the programs licensed?
No. Each operator provides family child care for up to six children, which Nova Scotia allows without a licence. The framework follows the same play-based principles as the province's early learning framework used in regulated programs.
How many spaces are available?
Each operator cares for up to six children, so spaces are limited. Contact us for current availability near your workplace.
What does it cost my organization?
Families pay the operator directly for childcare. Contact us to discuss wellness hub options and any ways your organization would like to support staff.
What research is the framework based on?
Children's days are built on guided play and Nova Scotia's early learning goals. Behaviour guidance draws on the Pyramid Model and trauma-informed principles. The adult layer is informed by occupational health psychology research on psychologically healthy workplaces.
